We have an opportunity for a Hardware Engineering Manager.

 

Responsibilities Include:

The candidate will supervise 5-7 employees supporting hardware programs. The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate strong leadership skills to achieve sustainable top performance through hiring, mentoring and growing talent. He/she will have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

The candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging traditional ways of doing business. Demonstrated abilities to build diverse and inclusive teams with high levels of engagement, including mentoring and coaching, are a must. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required and the ideal candidate will have demonstrated success collaborating and leading Hardware Engineering teams.
 

Experience and Skills

Basic Qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant STEM discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be experienced in broad aspects of the engineering development lifecycle
  • At least 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • High proficiency of technical problem solving
  • Experience with mixed signal (RF and Digital) PCB design.
  • Familiarity with Regulatory Compliance such as CE, FCC and UL

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Prior experience leading a cross functional hardware design team
  • Prior experience with supply chain and vendor management
  • Prior experience as a functional manager / supervisor of technical employees
  • Prior engineering experience in support of Overhead Persistent Infrared systems or other Ballistic Missile Defense or Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance system
  • Current Security Clearance

U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance is required.
