We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer / Senior Systems Engineer in our Colorado Springs, CO office.
The role encompasses elements of technical leadership, coordination, contribution and oversight with knowledge of Systems Engineering, project execution and subject matter expertise. The successful candidate will work with and lead a team of engineers to analyze customer requirements and development of solutions; provide high level architecture, design implementation details, work with manufacturing to ensure the proper parts and equipment are ordered, and technical communications with customers.
Under general direction, this position is responsible for providing technical leadership in applying innovative approaches to resolving unusual or complex engineering problems in the development, integration and testing of new and emerging technologies or intellectual property. This includes proposal support; requirements analysis and management; technical task planning; technical documentation (including SOW and specifications detail review, presentations, technical interchanges, ICDs, etc.); design synthesis and oversight in a multi-functional engineering environment; production support; test and verification coordination/analysis/oversight; subcontract oversight (as applicable); proactively engage in program risk and opportunity management; and system deployment technical support during the project lifecycle.
