Job Description

 

General Job Summary: Partners with assigned business units to improve business operations through effective implementation and administration of employee relations, compensation, benefits administration, HRIS and other HR functions here at KUAS.

 

  • Employee Relations: coaches all levels of personnel on a variety of policies, programs, and legal regulations as needed. Conducts internal investigations, recommending next actions to management; coaches management on disciplinary actions ensuring supporting documentation exists; administers new hire and annual performance appraisal processes, coaches management on performance improvement actions and developmental plans.  Participates in and coordinates annual focal appraisal and merit programs partnering with assigned business unit managers.

  • Compensation Administration: performs job analysis, creates/revises job descriptions, manages and processes a wide variety of personnel action requests ensuring proper analysis is performed applying solid judgment to support actions requested by managers.  Assists in conducting market research and completing salary surveys.

  • Benefits Administration: participates in annual open enrollment planning and roll-out, drafts employee communications; educates employees on wide variety of benefit programs and plans including  401(k), WC, and employee issue resolution.

  • May assist with maintaining records for EEO and Affirmative Action reporting requirements.

  • May assist in drafting or revising job descriptions, job analysis or salary market data analysis.

  • Support new hire on boarding and leadership training.

  • Support corrective counseling activities to include terminations.   

  • Other job duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or a minimum of 3 years and a Master's degree; or a minimum of 9 years of equivalent work experience.


WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Office and/or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time

  • Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones)

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
