Job Description
Lead a team of ISD and Subject matter experts who will review current courseware, assess existing KSAs and courseware documents, and conduct organizational planning focused on enhancing existing data collection, material presentation, and data base collection and curriculum development and updates.
Leads the planning process, supervises other assigned project personnel and coordinates the project with administrators.
Participate in coordination of requirements, status communications, and element completion with the customer.
Provides oversight for analyses to ensure identification and validation of training requirements, documents results of analyses, and ensures recommended alternative training strategies are feasible for presentation to decision-makers.
Reviews documentation of design strategy documents to ensure courseware development is aligned to customer requirements.
Prepare and deliver reports, studies, briefings, or point papers containing findings/results and recommendations for achieving training objectives.
Oversee the team's design and implementation of databases, learning content management strategies, structure of data storage and collection and courseware development and updates.
Experience and Skills
Education:
BA/BS candidate will possess at least seven (7) years of experience with Navy curriculum development and/or training organizations.
Or a MA/MS with at least five (5) years of experience with Navy curriculum development and/or training organizations
OR
United States Naval Officer (O1-O3 or LDO/CWO), Enlisted (E-5 to E-9) or civilian with at least 7 years’ experience with Navy curriculum development and/or training organizations
Instructor with a US Navy Learning Center
Experience with NAVEDTRA 130B curriculum products (TTP, CTTL/COI, TCCD, and Course Materials)
Middle Eastern experience.
Experience researching technical material and working flexibly with subject matter experts.
Excellent writing, communication, analytical and instructional design skills.
Experience working in a focused, dynamic, fast-paced team environment with accountable deadlines.
Experience as a forward facing representative/program coordinator to a customer.
Demonstrated ability in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong oral and written communication skills
No clearance is required.
Desirable skills or experience:
Instructional Design Degree.
Master Training Specialist.
Military instructor experience.
AIM or CPM/LOM familiarity.
Some experience using the following military standards and instruction guidance, as part of the PADDIE process: NAVEDTRA 130 series, Navy End-toEnd (E2E)
