As a Hardware Design Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to develop our complex products and technologies related to wireless telecommunications by applying RF and high speed digital design capabilities.  You will work as part of a hardware design team providing technical guidance to more junior engineers on new product introductions you are asked to lead.  You'll be responsible for PCB/PCA circuit design and sustainment, embedded system design, and firmware design. Your technical responsibilities also include developing and executing our product characterization testing and production integration planning.  When production issues or field failures occur, you will be involved in root cause and corrective action.

Experience and Skills

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of job related experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Physics
  • Experience with PCB design tools for schematic capture and layout
  • Experience with Mixed Signal Design
  • Experience with high speed digital design
  • Experience in embedded systems design with processors, FPGAs, and microcontrollers.
  • Experience with Product Sustainment and Product Lifecycle

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in satellite or wireless communications
  • Experience in VHDL or Verilog design
  • Experience with FPGA design tools
  • Experience with qualifying and troubleshooting RF Performance
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Prior experience working with a cross functional hardware design team
  • Prior experience with supply chain and vendor management
  • Current Security Clearance
  • Desire and ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship to more junior engineers
  • Advanced degrees in related fields of study
  • Masters Degree

U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance is required.

Salary Range $110k-$140k per year
