Job Description

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

Perform detailed development work in the areas of Analog and RF transponders. Apply knowledge and principles of hardware engineering to product development and product support.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead research, design, development and test electronic components, products and systems
  • Lead detailed design of test control apparatus and equipment
  • Project lead for overall RF design.
  • Ensure all designs are completed on schedule and under budget
  • Ensure all designs can be produced by manufacturing
  • Interface and resolve technical issues with customers
  • Develop detailed RF designs for receivers and transmitters
  • Consult with cross-functional engineers for optimal product development
  • Must be at assigned worksite during assigned hours 100% of time; less PTO, FML/STD/LTD

Other Job Functions

  • Assist in training junior engineers
  • Assist in technical bid and proposal process
  • Lead design reviews for both internal and external customers
  • Other duties may be assigned

  • Ability to build, program and operate RF equipment
  • Ability to lead a technical design team
  • Ability to lead and plan and conduct lab and field tests

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • BS in EE, Math, Physics or related technical field
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience
  • Advanced MS Office experience
  • Proven experience with RF design, test and integration
  • Experience performing engineering tasks in a manufacturing environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Office and production environment
  • Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones)
  • Ability to lift  up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to travel, foreign and/or domestic
