As an RF Product Design Lead Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to lead a multidisciplinary team in the development of communications hardware for the satellite communications industry. You will use your knowledge of radio communications systems, and RF/mixed signal board design to develop, prototype, characterize and transition to production the next generation of our satellite communications products.


You will be tasked to lead and provide technical guidance for a small fast paced design team engaging in new product introductions. You will work with solution architects and product managers to derive product specifications and inform product design architectural decisions. You'll be responsible for systems engineering, PCB/PCA circuit design, development,  and embedded system design. Your technical responsibilities also include developing and executing our product characterization testing and production integration planning.  When production issues or field failures occur, you will be involved in root cause and corrective action.

Experience and Skills


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Physics. Preferred technical degree. May consider equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • 10+ years of job related experience
  • Strong theoretical knowledge of radio communications systems including software defined radios, RF transceiver architectures, RF to digital interfaces such as ADCs, DACs, and clocking architectures
  • Experience with mixed signal PCB designs that include a mix of RF/microwave circuits, FPGAs, DDR memory, and high speed serial interfaces
  • Experience with RF component selection and design with surface mount parts including amplifiers, filters, clock synthesizer ICs, SoCs, and mixers
  • Experience in design for manufacture, reliability, sustainment, and product lifecycle
  • Desire and ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship to more junior engineers
  • Prior experience working with a cross functional hardware design team
  • Experience with troubleshooting RF performance
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with signal integrity and EM solver tools such as Hyperlynx, SiPro, Ansys
  • Experience with RF design and EDA tools such as Keysight ADS, GENESYS, or Cadence Microwave Office
  • Experience in satellite or wireless communications
  • Experience with low voltage power supply circuits and design
  • Prior experience with supply chain and vendor management
  • Current Security Clearance
  • Advanced degrees in related fields of study


U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance is required.

Competitive salary based on experience and education
Salary Range $126k-$170k per year
