We have an exciting new opportunity for an Lead Integration & Test Engineer. This is a hybrid location position, in-office and remote work. 

The successful candidate will work with the design team and be the integration & test authority for assigned projects. The I&T Engineer supports the development and maintenance of the test requirements, test plan, & test approach from project kick-off through closure of the contract. Responsible for verification of technical scope as defined by the design authority, with a focus of maintaining cost and schedule goals. Facilitates coordination of cross-functional engineering teams for requirements development.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Deciphers technical contractual requirements and allocates them to test cases within the project’s test plan
• Creates test procedures and automated test software to verify product’s compliance with requirements
• Plans and executes customer witnessed acceptance/factory testing of project hardware
• Manages requirement traceability through verification, using tools such as a Requirements Verification Matrix
• Develops requirements for creating test simulators or custom test tools
• Assesses project technical risks and provides mitigation plans particularly around testability
• Coordinates the review, presentation and release of test documentation to support requirements compliance, including Technical Interchange Meetings, Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews
• Coordinates with the Project Engineer & Program Manager, design team and functional management to communicate program impediments or issues / delays in completing tasks
• Interfaces with Customer for TIM, PDR, CDR and FAT tasks

Experience and Skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable engineering, technical, or science discipline. Technical degree preferred. May consider equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience with Engineering, Systems, Integration, Test, and/or Software, preferably within the aerospace, satellite communication, or aviation industries, or minimum 3 years with Master’s degree

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• RF/IF test and integration experience
• Familiarity with RF Communications
• Experience using commercial test equipment such as Spectrum Analyzer, Vector Network Analyzer, Oscilloscope, WAN Emulator, etc
• Experience with creating test software using Python and/or National Instruments Tools
• Experience creating requirement verification producers, linking directly to system requirements
• Experience creating requirement traceability documentation linking system requirements to specific verification activities
• Ability to create test plans and test procedures in MS Word
• Knowledgeable in best industry practices, standards, tools, and technologies
• Good communication and relationship skills with program leadership, engineering leadership, customers, and engineering team members
• Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards
• Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors, maintaining a professional demeanor
• Ability and experience coordinating and leading integration and test activities with a team
• Software and product development techniques, Agile, SCRUM, plus Water-fall approaches
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance


Additional Desirable Skills:

• Integration experience in the aerospace or aviation industry
• Experienced and knowledgeable with DoD, satellite, and telecommunication type programs
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally to meet department and company goals and requirements for assigned project(s)
• Ability to travel
• Familiarity with the following Kratos’ products, vFEP/qFEP, vGTW, qCMD, qMR, qDRA, DDX, and SpecNet

U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance is required.

Competitive salary based on experience and education
Salary Range $91k-$164k per year
