Kratos is a trusted global satellite ground system, communications monitoring, interference detection and network management company. We are seeking a Network Deployment Engineer to join our services delivery team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include:
• Primary responsibility for deploying new and supporting existing operational Solutions tool sets, scripts, software, and services.
• Respond to unplanned service impacting escalations from operations 24/7, by providing SME guidance and/or hands on / remote troubleshooting ensuring Reason for Outage is discovered and service is restored as quickly as possible.
• Identify, capture, and distribute root cause analysis and fixes/work arounds to systemic problems impacting customer SLA’s and service delivery.
• Identify and produce procedures and training for operations to distribute technical knowledge, enabling quicker fixes and minimizing impact to customer services
• As a liaison to the Software Dev Team you will ensure all designs leverage common architectures and services that can meet key design criteria (Availability, Recoverability, Scalability, & Performance characteristics) and can be properly supported by operations teams and meeting customer SLA’s.
• Schedule and lead / perform change windows when needed for upgrades, fixes, or introducing new services to the network, all while minimizing risk to existing services.
• Test, validate, and accept new solutions, and transition those solutions to live 24x7 operations.
• Gather, analyze, accept, store, and share documentation received during Service Design and created during Service Testing / Deployment.

Experience and Skills

Experience/Background:

• 2 or more years’ experience developing Services and Application using Java, TypeScript, and Angular
• 2 or more years’ experience scripting, using languages like Bash, PowerShell or Python
• 2 or more years’ experience developing software, microservices, APIs, RESTful web services in a Docker environment
• 1 or more years' experience with a version control system like git (Bitbucket preferred)
• Experience with troubleshooting complex distributed environments and taking corrective actions to ensure availability
• Experience assessing legacy systems, discovering the details surrounding the system to support or re-build existing capabilities
• Signing and abiding by non-disclosure agreements for supporting select Services Customers is required
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science related technical discipline or equivalent professional experience
• Secret Clearance required
• US Citizenship required

Preferred:
• Experience with Satellite Communication Technologies in an Operations environment
• Experience with Cloud Technologies, such as: AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform
• Experience working with or within ITIL, DevOps, and Agile methodologies, CI/CD
• Experience with languages, such as: SQL, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#
• Experience in the development and management of Service orientated solutions is a plus

U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance is required.

Competitive salary based on experience and education
Salary Range $67k-$103k per year
